impressions 001: a south styrian daydream

Last weekend, we traveled to Styria to get new Tracht (Austrian/German Formal Traditional Attire – think: lederhosen & dirndls) for my boyfriend Georg’s brother’s Standesamtliche Trauung (Civil Wedding).

We initially thought we would be staying within the city limits of Graz, the capital of the Styrian region of Austria, but turned out we were staying at a quaint B&B / Hotel known as the “Winzerhof Hödlinstead.

For the weeks prior to the trip, I had been incessantly daydreaming about the ever-so-lovely Reschio Estate (located in the Umbrian region of Italy, on cusp of Tuscany – Central Italy for all intents & purposes).  For one of the first times on social media, I had even put forthright into words and pictures, declaring my goal of one day being able to spend a holiday on the Estate.  Upon our arrival at Winzerhof, I was humbly taken aback by the fact that the breathtaking “Italian” landscapes & tranquil backdrops I had been obsessing over, laid just before my eyes.    I am a woman who has always been proud of my faith in God and overall spiritual beliefs, but in the days prior to this trip, I did not realize that with this faith, I had been devoutly nourishing a core tenet of manifestation.  I must now graciously admit, there is truth to the law of attraction!

Waking up to the strangely comforting sounds of a hay harvest – Reminded me of waking up on weekend mornings in the suburban midwest
